Every Sip You Take...Brings Us Closer To A Cure!

With gratitude I would like to thank the incredible Connecticut craft breweries and everyone who supported the 2024 and 2025 CT Beer Tour for a Cancer-Free Future and The Hammond Hoptimists with a donation to Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society).Together we have raised over $136,000 to help Blood Cancer United move toward creating a world without blood cancers, as they advance lifesaving research for cures and provide critical care and support for patients and survivors.

2025 CT Beer Tour for a Cancer-Free Future

The CT Beer Tour for a Cancer-Free Future started for one simple reason: I love my dad. Ken Hammond was a loving husband, a successful businessman, a mayor, a town councilman, a church volunteer, a fabulous role model, and an amazing dad. His life was cut short in 2015 when his courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma, a terrible blood cancer, ended. My desire to honor my dad led me to accept a nomination to compete for the title of Greater Connecticut’s 2024 Visionary of the Year for Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). This tremendous organization raises money that funds the most promising blood cancer research and forges collaborations to accelerate new discoveries, treatments, and cures. Thanks to the generous support of many people, my team, The Hammond Hoptimists, raised $119,374 in 10-weeks to help me become the 2024 Greater Connecticut Visionary of the Year.We are continuing the CT Beer Tour for a Cancer-Free Future to continue our support of Blood Cancer United! Join us as we continue to revisit some of our favorite Connecticut craft breweries and some new ones to make a difference in the lives those affected by blood cancers. In Gratitude,Greg Hammond
